Andrea Powers Wellness Studio & Spa offers an environment that is warm, inviting, and tranquil.  Tucked away in a quiet part of West Milford, NJ, at the newly constructed Bald Eagle Square.  The studio is close enough to be convenient, and just far enough from the town center to lend it an extra air of peace.  Clean, fresh rooms, modern exercise equipment, a shower and dressing area all make the studio comfortable and inviting.

Location:   In the abdomen, just beneath the navel, lower back, and sexual organs.

It connects us to others through feeling, desire, sensation, and movement. Ideally this chakra brings us fluidity and grace, depth of feeling, sexual fulfillment, and the ability to accept change.  Blockage manifests as emotional problems or sexual guilt.

Graceful movement like dance or yoga flow class is appropriate for the second chakra.
New Classes!
Chakra Flow The chakras are spinning vortexes of energy along the spine, each representing a different aspect of our physical, mental and spiritual consciousness. The lower chakras have more to do with our actions in the world. The higher chakras have more to do with spirit, meditation, wisdom and enlightenment.  In Chakra Flow we will learn to experience and feel the chakras through our yoga practice. Each month we will work on a particular chakra.  We inhibit the solidity and stability of the root chakra, the movement, flow and sensuality of the lower belly, the spaciousness of the heart, the pure awareness of the third eye chakra, and the vastness of the crown.  Wednesday's at 9:30am

Kundalini Yoga No matter what we achieve, our successes are hollow unless we fulfill the soul's yearning to bring higher consciousness into our daily lives. Kundalini, Yoga, as taught by Yogi Bhajan, is much more than a system of physical exercise; it's a dynamic, powerful tool for expanding awareness. An integrated and authentic system of exercises, breath control, and meditation that has been perceived in India for millennia, it's sage, comprehensive, and simple. It promotes physical health, stimulates the mind's potential, and touches one's innermost being.  Saturday's at 10:15am

Pilates at the Bar  will shape and elongate every major muscle group by alternating between exercises that demand intense energy and deep long stretches to elongate the muscles.  This style of interval training will help burn fat around the muscles with a high caloric burn while keeping them long and lean.   Muscles will begin to look longer and more defined while the body becomes leaner and more slender as our posture improves.   This form of Pilates is much more intense than most Pilates classes.  While other Pilates classes work with the small muscle groups Pilates at the Bar works with the large muscle groups by adding muscle density and an increased metabolic rate.  Come feel the burn and increase your metabolism!  Tues. at 6:00pm/Fri. at 8:30am
